Everyone you meet, knows something you don’t.

Global Meat Alliance

The aim of GMA is to challenge our sector on how the meat industry can work globally in a pre-competitive space, especially in light of COVID and the ‘showstopping’ issues such as sustainability, meat free alternatives, relevancy and so on. The real value of this network in connecting the fragmented global meat industry by sharing the best insight and developing joint programmes to positively impact the total sector.

Meat Business Women

Meat Business Women was founded in 2015 by Laura Ryan.  Laura had worked in the meat industry for over a decade and was struck by the limited number of females in the industry, particularly at Board level. Having become extremely passionate about the sector and she felt the industry was challenged by the lack of female talent from outside of family-owned businesses and launched a professional networking group to showcase the meat sector as a positive a career choice. Interest in Meat Business Women has grown phenomenally on both a national and international level. Working with territory partners Meat Business Women holds events across, UK & Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and USA. Meat Business Women has recently been recognised by the United Nations with Laura presenting on the contribution Meat Business Women makes to the global Sustainable Development Goals.

World Butchers’ Challenge

The World Butchers' Challenge is a butchery competition of epic proportions. With butchers from across the globe battling it out for the title of the world's best, it's often referred to as the 'Olympics of Meat'. And one of the things we're most proud of at the World Butchers' Challenge, is the support network that this competition has fostered. Much more than just an event, it's about learning, sharing and believing in a greater good for the industry.

Ashley is the CEO of the World Butchers’ Challenge and has managed it’s growth - currently 16 countries compete in the WBC - since it’s inception in 2011.
